Finding  Your Voice

Dear Beautiful Soul,

I see you. I see the way you have bent, shaped, and softened yourself to keep the peace. The way you’ve smiled when you wanted to scream, nodded when you wanted to say no, and shrunk yourself so others could feel more comfortable.

I know why you do it ~ because somewhere along the way, you learned that keeping others happy kept you safe.

You Don’t Have to Earn Your Worth

But my friend, you don’t have to earn your worth by over-giving. You are already enough. You don’t have to be everything to everyone to deserve love. Your needs, your voice, your presence ~ they matter just as much as anyone else’s.

The Fear of Disappointing Others Is Not a Reason to Shrink

I know the fear that rises when you think about disappointing someone. That deep-rooted panic that whispers, If I set a boundary, they might leave. If I say no, I’ll be rejected. But here’s the truth: the people who truly love and respect you won’t disappear just because you honor yourself. And the ones who do? They were only there for what you could give them, not for who you are.

It’s Okay to Say No, to Take Up Space, and to Rest

It’s okay to say no. It’s okay to take up space. It’s okay to rest. You are not selfish for prioritizing your well-being. You are not unkind for protecting your energy. You are allowed to exist without constantly performing for the comfort of others.

Releasing People-Pleasing Is a Journey

Releasing people-pleasing is a journey, and I know it won’t happen overnight. But each time you pause before automatically saying yes, each time you check in with your own needs before accommodating someone else’s, you are reclaiming yourself. You are stepping into your power. You are breaking free.

From Surviving to Thriving: You Are Worthy

So, to my fawning friend ~ the version of you that once believed love had to be earned through sacrifice~ I honor you for surviving. But now, you are ready to thrive. You are ready to trust that we are worthy, not for what you do for others, but simply because you are.

With love and deep gratitude,
